first snow in October..

.....that turned into a HUGE snow storm.

usually, peope here are so used to snow that the school didnt have a snow day for about 30+ years.

But even the Buffalonians werent prepared for this much snow, this early!
so we had two snow days because of it :P heheh

and there was a power outage for a few days but luckily, none of my food went bad with the help of nature's refrigerator!

long time!

this is yet another massive entry.

so for those of u who dont know...im now in buffalo, NY! and i will be going to SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. locals call it UB as in University at Buffalo instead of SUNY Buffalo...newho. this week was orientation and so far, I love everything! school, my classmates, 2nd years, my studio apt, my new car, weather (i know!), etc etc. im so excited about my new life here in the eastcoast! :)

well lemme share with you my past few months since my last entry. haha

Orientation started on monday...it was my first orientation ever since i never went to the ucsb one. and now i understand why there is such a thing as orientation. hahah it was helpful and fun!

today was our white coat ceremony

so far i havent met anyone in my class that i did not like. everyone is so unique yet we all share the same passion that seems to bring us together. there is a sense of mutual respect and understanding that naturally helps us overcome any prejudice or preference we may have had.  i thought life after college would be boring but now i'm loving it. and im excited to age and grow old now even though ill get wrinkly! the maturity, wisdom, and experience that comes with age (hopefully) is so appealing to me. and the fact that i will continually grow and learn with these people and others around me sounds wonderful. ah! i feel so rich and happy inside

well..now i should get back or rather start studying because i have my first quiz on monday! and my first final on friday ... when....classes started two days ago...:*(

guess where im at! SAIPAN!

newho let me share with you my past week. and yes. this is a massive update. as usual hehe

so after graduation and after moving out, liz and i headed for saipan!

there's no flight that goes straight to saipan from california so there was a layover at osaka, japan and since my friend aiko lives there, liz and i stayed for a couple of days and hung out with her.

this is osaka castle first built in the 1500's or was it 1600's? newho..it turns out the guy who built this is also known for invading korea.

Hi all!

2 more days left in SB....unreal. im pretty sad that im leaving this place. I was so busy with random stuff for the past two weeks that i didnt have a chance to prepare myself to say good bye to my second hometown. I lived in seattle for 2 years, korea for 4 years, saipan for 9 years and sb for 7 years. SB FOR 7 YEARS!! wow.

newho...i should be packing right now but 7 years worth of stuff is wayyyyyy too hard to tackle..i see no progress even after hours of work!

but here's an update while im on my break.

on my last day of work..i got super sentimental. i spent literally thousands of hours in this place and learned so much more than i ever imagined or dreamed of and met so many mentors and role models who influenced me in and out for the past two years. ah...im getting sad again.

hello. this is gonna be a long picture entry. (surprised?! )

sbcc ended last week. being out of school feels great! im definitely gonna enjoy it while i can! newho. i took tons and i mean TONS of pictures since then and here are some! enjoy!

I also went up to SLO to see Liz! it was so much fun although i had to drive back down the same night to work next morning. ish...but ill be going up again for sure!

we were gonna watch this movie called the insider(?) but we found out that the two of us were the only ones waiting for that movie. so we got scared and followed everyone else and watched Just My Luck with them. it was lame. but at least we werent scared!

my scribe friends threw me a celebration lunch! we ate at Elements. the food was soooooo good!!! I can't believe i lived in sb for so long and never checked out all these places.

EDIT:

so here's an update that i forgot to mention earlier.

As of right now, I'll be moving to New York and starting med school in 2 months at SUNY Buffalo!

of course, unless i hear back in time from my two Cali schools Loma Linda and UCLA where im wait listed... wait lists suck.. 

but yes, I am very excited! it still hasnt hit me yet that my life is now set in one particular path...and i keep forgetting and throughout the day while im working or eating or just doing whatever, i go.."o my gosh...am i gonna really be a doctor...? no way~!!" and the excitement starts all over again. last week, valerie made me try on one of the doctor's white coat and she put a stethoscope around my neck. i looked and felt realllllly awkward, like a kid playing dress up haha but hopefully someday ill look normal in them!

newho..what am i gonna do with all my tank tops?
